🚨 A new risk? Macular Degeneration

Everyone is familiar with how GLP1s help, but we find the most value in focusing on where GLP1s might be dangerous. Staying abreast of anecdata and published research on the negative side effects of GLP1s is key to having a balanced opinion.

This isn’t the first time that GLP1s have been reported to negatively impact the eyes, so we take a look at new research published that suggests that GLP1 played a part in causing Neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).

Here at GLP1.Guide we like to keep an eye out for negative side effects as most of the world is focused on how beneficial GLP1s can be.

A new risk has been flagged in a paper that we found interesting: Macular Degeneration:

Published in Jama, the study notes that there was an increase (doubling) in macular degeneration for participants who took GLP1s.
